A little background on Truro:

Truro was granted city status by Queen Victoria in 1877, but the Cathedral wasn't completed until 1910. The Gothic Revival building is on the site of the old St Mary's Church which had been in the centre of Truro for some 600 years previously. The county town of Cornwall, Truro has a wealth of Georgian architecture, said to be the finest examples west of Bath.
